The Denim Down-low

We don’t know if you know, but a good pair of denim will take you places!

Denim is one of the most versatile items you HAVE to have in your closet and the possibilities are endless. You can dress the same pair up with strappy heels and a super sexy top for a date night and take that same pair of jean and slide in to some sneakers and a white tee for a casual day look. You can wear the same pair day after day if you wanted to and switch up the look! (Like I wear my Black Tractr High waist jeans one to two times a week!)

But let’s get down to the reason this post is really coming to life. We hear all too often our customers say “I don’t want to spend that much on a pair of jeans” and we want to clarify up a few reasons why you SHOULD! Now our denim at Vamped is rarely priced over $100, hell it’s most likely to be under $90 and has just about that same quality as that $250 pair you’ve been eyeing. That’s a steal for a good pair of jeans that you’ll love forever! So here are our top 4 reasons you should splurge a little when it comes to this piece.

IT’S A WARDROBE STAPLE

Like we said at the beginning of this post, jeans are a piece you can literally wear a thousand different ways. Having even only one pair or dark jeans will get you through so much as they are usually viewed as chic and pull an outfit together. It’s probably the one item you’ll get the most use out of for sure

IT FITS BETTER

Now even we are guilty of shopping for $25 to $30 jeans at some point in our lives! But those jeans never seemed to fit just right, mainly because they weren’t designed with the right materials or shapes in mind and they are made by the thousands for mass production. You know what they say “You get what you pay for” and when you don’t spend much on a good pair, you’ll notice your jeans stretch at the waist and you’re constantly picking them up, your butt sags (please don’t let this happen to you!) and you have all that extra material at the knee. When you dive into a nice pair, you’ll literally feel the difference in the fit and fabric. It hugs you in all the right places to show off those curves and you won’t find yourself stretched out throughout the day. You’ll be able to go multiple wears without even having to wash them! Now how amazing is that?

IT’S HERE TO STAY

Since the coming of denim, it has not gone out of style, meaning you won’t have to donate or toss them until they just cannot be worn anymore! Although some denim trends have come and gone, sticking to the basic colors and fits, your wardrobe will be set up for success for seasons on seasons to come. Remember those flared jeans from high school? Yea they’re coming back girlfriend! Don’t you wish you kept them now?

SPEND NOW | SAVE LATER

Spending a little more will also save you in the long run. We’re going for quality here! You’ll have to replace them WAY less frequently because they keep their good ass shape for a long time (pun intended!). Think about your cost per wear too! Say you spend that $88 on these Blank NYC Jeans, if you wore them at least once a week for the next year, that’s only $1.69 per wear..you know that’s less than the cost of that Starbucks you’ve been sippin’ on this morning + they’ll last you way longer! 😉 So yeah, break your bank for a few pairs of good ones! (even though you won’t shopping our jeans!)

 A few more tips!

To keep your denim looking its’ freshest, always wash them inside out in COLD water and NEVER dry them in the dryer.

Don’t wash your denim too often though! Washing them to often will wear away at them over time and they will lose their shape much faster! Between washes, store them in the freezer for a day or two, wrapped in a plastic bag. We know it sounds crazy, but it works!

For those short girls, I feel ya! Spend the extra few $$ and get them tailored to your length, because nothing sucks more than a pair of long jeans you have to fold up way to much!

Another crazy trick I learned along the way, if you’re way too lazy to try on a pair or if you’re running short on time, take the waistline and wrap it around your neck. If it fits comfortably around those jeans are for you!
