The Perfect Brow

The Perfect Eyebrow

Big bold eyebrows are super trendy right now. Whether your natural brow is think or thin, perfecting the shape is key. When filling in your brows, it’s important not to go overboard. Work with your natural shape and thickness, not against it. Unless you want to look like you copied and pasted someone else’s right over your own…

You can use brow gel, pencil, pomade or powder to fill in your brows. The best way to figure out which method is best for you is to think about the texture of your natural brows, and your desired end result. For example, a pomade is going to look a lot stronger and prominent compared to a brow powder. This doesn’t mean one will look better than the other, but again it so important to know what you are working with.

Let’s take a look at a few eyebrows that most would consider “on fleek”.

Eyebrows make a huge difference on your overall look. So with that said it is essential to practice your technique and stick to it! We found this image on Rookie that we felt clearly demonstrated the process.

Now that you get the idea of how the shape it created let’s go more into detail.

The first image shows the eyebrows being plucked. For those of you who get your eyebrows done on a regular basis you can skip this step. However if you do not like the shape of your eyebrows, try growing them in for while. Next you want to outline the bottom of your brow using your product of choice. If you want to get a a nice fade, focus on the tail and then bringing the color toward the center. Use a clear mascara want to brush throw your brown and help spread the product evenly. Step five in the photograph above is using a light concealer as a highlighter. This step will help clean up the shape while at the same time making the brow stand out. Focus the highlight just under the arch. I also find it elpful to highlight around the upper end of the tail so that the emphasis is brought away from the center.
